Billy Graham wants us to look back and see what God taught us this past year. Happy New Year Beloved.

A husband and wife visited an orphanage where they hoped to adopt a child. In an interview with the boy they wanted, they told him in glowing terms about the many things they could give him. To their amazement the little fellow said, “If you have nothing to offer except a good home, clothes, toys, and the other things that most kids have—why, I would just as soon stay here.” “What on earth could you want besides those things?” the woman asked. “I just want someone to love me,” replied the little boy. There you have it! Even a little boy knows that “man shall not live by bread alone.” Our deeper yearnings and longings can be met only by a renewed fellowship with the One in whose image we were created, God.
Daily Prayer Thank You for loving me, God. This knowledge never ceases to amaze me. I praise and love You, my heavenly Father. -Graham God, the Peacekeeper
You have an ego—a consciousness of being an individual. Of course, you do. But that doesn’t mean that you are to worship yourself, to think constantly of yourself, and to live entirely for yourself. Common sense tells you that your life would be miserable if you followed that course. God is infinitely more concerned about your happiness than you could possibly be. He says, “Deny yourself, and follow me.” There is many a person in the insane asylum today who thought excessively about himself, to the exclusion of God and others. Hypochondriacs who have a fanciful anxiety about their health will never be well, regardless of their physical condition. Daily Prayer Keep my mind on You, Lord, and help me to discipline the thoughts of self which crowd out Your peace. -Billy Graham ![]() Merry Christmas everyone! Let's make sure to make it known that it's all about our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Satan always is out to wreck this special time of year with nonsense like Santa...aka Satan in disguise. You ever notice that the letters are the same, just all mixed up? I find that eerily ironic. The only true joy and peace is in Jesus Christ. The rest is just a facade. He is the only ONE who can uphold us in times of turmoil. Yes they will come! We need Jesus 365 days a year not just this one day. God bless you all beloved. † A fictitious man wearing a big red suit gets more attention than a living Savior who wore His own blood on a cross. I don’t think so. Forget Satan. Wait a second, I meant "forget Santa". Goodness, how did I make that mistake! Satan and Santa are so closely spelled and, ironically, they seem to have the same purpose - taking people's eyes off what's really important, Jesus. Anyway, glory to Jesus who gave us the greatest gift not underneath a tree, but on it! -Josh Page
The Truth Project is one phenomenal dvd series. I recommend everyone to watch it. Who doesn't want to know what truth really is? Why did Jesus really come to this earth? Come hear these questions answered and much more in this series. This video I did here is just a summary from the notes that I took from lesson one. The Truth Project is a twelve part series.
Satan, the great deceiver, promotes the false idea that man can make himself acceptable in God’s eyes. Many of us have fallen victim to the Devil’s lies and approach God on the basis of our conduct or performance. Just like the rich man, we may have thought, God will accept me because I am doing the right things. Or perhaps we have assumed that our good deeds outweigh any wrong we have done.
In thinking this way, we have established our own standard of acceptability and ignored God’s. He says we all have a flesh nature bent away from Him, and nothing we do will pay for our sin debt. Only faith in Jesus, who died in our place, makes us acceptable to God. Through the Savior, we are forgiven of our sins and receive life everlasting. Apart from Christ, we face eternal punishment. -Stanley Depend on Him
To walk in the Spirit is a challenging and inspiring exercise, for it combines activity with relaxation. To walk means to place one foot in front of the other. If you stop doing this, you are no longer walking—you are standing still. Walking always implies movement, progress, and direction. Sin shall no longer rule or dominate you when you are allowing the Holy Spirit to live Christ’s life through you. It is living by faith, living by trust, living in dependence upon God. If we look to our own resources, our own strength, or our own ability, as Peter did when he walked on the water, we will fail. You cannot live the Christian life by yourself. The Holy Spirit must live in you and express Himself through you. Living for Christ is a day-by-day experience. It is a continuous dependence upon the Spirit of God. It is believing in His faithfulness. Daily Prayer Lord, so often I have walked on my own instead of walking in Your Spirit. Guide my footsteps this day, I pray in Jesus’ name. -Billy Graham It is impossible to believe anything into existence. The Gospel did not come into being because men believed it. The tomb was not emptied of Christ’s body that first Easter because some faithful persons believed it. The fact preceded the faith. We are psychologically incapable of believing without an object of our faith. The object of Christian faith is Christ. Faith means more than an intellectual assent to the claims of Christ. You are not called upon to believe something that is not credible, but to believe in the fact of history that in reality transcends all history. Faith actually means surrender and commitment to the claims of Christ. We do not know Christ through the five physical senses, but we know Him through the sixth sense that God has given every man—the ability to believe. Daily Prayer As I keep my eyes on You, Lord, my faith does not waver. Too often I look down and stumble. Let me comprehend today afresh the power that raised You from the dead. |
